Mrs. Aranya Knox attended The University of West Georgia, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She also holds a Master's Degree and Specialist Degree in School Counseling from The University of West Alabama. She comes from two generations of educators and has been in education for over 16 years. She moved to Georgia to attend college and has made it her home! She lives in South Fulton with her husband, and her daughter - and HCCA graduate (2024) attends Howard University. She loves learning new things and believes that positive relationships are instrumental in learning and growing. She loves being a hornet; “Hapeville Charter Career Academy is such a special place, and our students are amazing!”

Winston Gordon, MPA

Mr. Winston Gordon is a South Florida native. He is a proud graduate of The Savannah State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree of Public Administration. Mr. Gordon has been with Hapeville Charter Schools since 2009. Mr. Gordon proudly serves as one of the Assistant Principals of Hapeville Charter Career Academy. Mr. Gordon has also served as the HCCA Head Football Coach since the start of the school in 2009. Mr. Gordon led the Hornets to four straight Regional Championships as well as the Class AA State Championship in 2017. Mr. Gordon was named GACA & GSW Coach of the Year in 2018.

LaTricia Gladden, MA

Mrs. LaTricia Gladden’s educational journey began in Cincinnati Public Schools where she spent 10 years educating the youth and positively impacting her colleagues. In 2004, Mrs. Gladden and family moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She taught at Riverwood HS and Westlake HS, serving as team lead, Governance Council member, 2016 Teacher of the Year, Georgia Intern Fellowships for Teachers at GA Tech, and the Math Department Chair before moving on to join the Hapeville Charter team, serving as the Instructional Coach for the Math, Science, Health and PE departments at HCCA. Mrs. Gladden has also served on several Fulton County District level teams such as the Math Curriculum Design and Revision Team, Differentiation of Math Learning Tasks Team, Textbook Selection Committee, Learning Architects, and the Superintendent's Advisory Council. Sundiata Omowale, MA

Mr. Sundiata Omowale is a passionate educator and leader committed to empowering students and teachers to achieve academic excellence while cultivating critical thinking, cultural awareness, and a deep appreciation for history. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Omowale brings a lifetime of service and dedication to education. A proud U.S. military veteran, he served honorably in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant (SSG), where he developed the discipline and leadership that continue to shape his work in and out of the classroom. He holds a Master’s Degree in Social Studies Education from Georgia State University, which has enhanced his expertise in instructional leadership and culturally responsive teaching. Currently serving at Hapeville Charter Career Academy (HCCA), he is deeply committed to creating opportunities that prepare students for success in an academically rigorous and globally connected world. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Omowale is an avid fisherman, marksman, gardener, and world traveler. He enjoys cooking, reading, genealogy research, sports card collecting, and beekeeping. Alongside his wife and three children, he finds inspiration and balance through his love of nature and lifelong learning.

Rooted in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, I am an educator, leader, and advocate who believes every student deserves the opportunity to thrive. I earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Special Education from Georgia State University and went on to complete a specialist degree in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia.
Over the past eight years, I have dedicated myself to teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs. My passion is helping students overcome obstacles and discover their potential, no matter the challenges they face. I believe that with compassion, consistency, and high expectations, we can help every learner succeed.
As a proud resident of the local community, I share my life with my husband and son. This personal connection fuels my commitment to fostering strong relationships with families and ensuring that our schools serve as places of hope, growth, and opportunity for all students.
